Journalist Ahmad Noorani who has been living in the United States has claimed that his two brothers were abducted by unknown people from their home in Islamabad late on Tuesday night.
As per a report by Hum News, in his post on social media, Noorani said that unknown men arrived at his house in Islamabad and forced themselves inside when his mother did not open the door. Later, they took away his brothers to an unknown location and also confiscated his sister’s phone when she made videos of the incident. According to Noorani, the police authorities have refused to file a case on their behalf.
The journalist who left for the US a few years ago started his venture, Fact Focus, and his work mainly revolves around questioning the sources of wealth and funds amassed by those who usually serve public interests. A recent story delves into a similar subject. He was attacked in 2017 while residing in Pakistan while his wife was threatened similarly in 2021.
A few days ago, Noorani was also booked under FIA for spreading ‘propaganda’ on his social media and riling up the public against the state under PECA about the Jaffar Express train attack on March 11.
