A wedding celebration at Ramadhin Marriage Lawn in Hasanganj turned into a chaotic battleground late Monday evening when a group of students from Lucknow University hostel clashed violently with wedding guests. The altercation escalated into stone-pelting and the alleged use of crude bombs, leaving several individuals injured and prompting a swift police response.

According to eyewitnesses and officials, the incident began around 11 pm when a group of boys, uninvited and seemingly seeking free food, gatecrashed the wedding. The wedding procession had come from the Kaiserbagh area to celebrate the special occasion at the Ramadhin Marriage Lawn.

When the bride’s family refused to let the students join the celebration, an argument ensued. Eyewitnesses claim that tensions flared and the students grew increasingly aggressive, attacking wedding guests after a heated exchange.

After being sent away, the group of students returned to their hostel, only to regroup and come back to the wedding venue. This time, they were armed with sticks and rods, and further chaos ensued. The boys engaged in physical altercations with the guests, and things took a dangerous turn when crude bombs were thrown outside the marriage lawn. The violence left several people injured.

Upon receiving a distress call, police from the central zone responded quickly to the scene. As soon as the students spotted the authorities, they fled the area, leaving the venue in disarray. The police promptly assisted the injured individuals and rushed them to nearby hospitals for treatment. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were not life-threatening.

In the wake of the violence, legal proceedings have already been initiated. The police have vowed to take strict action against the perpetrators. They have also launched an investigation to identify the students involved in the incident, who are believed to be from Lucknow University.

The shocking incident quickly went viral on social media, with several videos surfacing online. One video shows students hurling bombs towards the wedding venue, while another shows police assessing the aftermath of the disturbance. These videos have drawn significant attention to the unruly behavior exhibited by some students of the university.

The police are actively working on identifying the miscreants involved and are expected to take swift legal action once their identities are confirmed. This incident has raised concerns about safety and discipline at Lucknow University, as well as the broader issue of student behavior in public spaces.
