After extensive deliberation, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has made the decision to join the coalition government led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at the Centre, with the aim of extricating the country from its challenges, as disclosed by the party’s deputy convener, Mustafa Kamal, on Sunday.
Following the February 8 general election, wherein no single political party secured adequate seats to establish a majority government at the Centre, prominent political entities have engaged in negotiations to devise a power-sharing arrangement for the upcoming coalition government.
A significant development occurred last week when the PML-N and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) announced their agreement on a power-sharing arrangement to establish a coalition government.
However, a purportedly leaked video featuring Mustafa Kamal surfaced on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, indicating potential discord among the coalition partners.
In the alleged leaked video, Mustafa Kamal can be heard discussing with MQM leaders during a coordination committee meeting, purportedly stating that during a recent meeting, the Pakistan Muslim League-N conveyed to MQM that while the mandate of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is approximately 60% fake, whereas MQM’s mandate is entirely fake.
It is important to note that MM News cannot verify the authenticity of the video.
Here is how the netizens reacted to the alleged video.
