On the second day of the Multan Test, Pakistan’s batting collapsed at 230 runs against West Indies, but the visiting team’s batting lineup also faced severe challenges.
After Pakistan was dismissed in the first session, West Indies began their innings but lost 8 wickets for just 66 runs. Sajid Khan turned out to be a nightmare for the West Indies batters, claiming the first four wickets. Sajid dismissed McKail Louis for 1, Keacy Carty for 0, Kraigg Brathwaite for 11, and Kevin Hodge for 4 runs.
West Indies’ fifth wicket fell at a total of 34 runs, with Nauman Ali dismissing Justin Greaves for 4. Nauman further dismissed Tevin Imlach and Alick Athanaze, both for 6 runs, taking 4 wickets including Kevin Sinclair.
Pakistan’s Innings
On the second day, Pakistan resumed their incomplete innings at 143 for 4 against West Indies. The start of the day wasn’t favorable for the Pakistani batters as the wickets began to fall rapidly in the first session.
Saud Shakeel was dismissed for 84, Salman Agha for 7, and Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion after scoring 71 runs. Following Rizwan, Nauman Ali was out for a duck, and Khurram Shahzad managed only 7 runs before being dismissed.
Additionally, Shan Masood (11), Babar Azam (8), Mohammad Haris (7), and Kamran Ghulam (5) made minimal contributions. For West Indies, Jayden Seales and Jomel Warrican each took 3 wickets, Kevin Sinclair claimed 2, and Gudakesh Motie dismissed one batter. Notably, Pakistan had ended the first day at 143 for 4 against West Indies.
