Three people, including a woman, were killed in separate firing incidents in different areas of Lakki Marwat. All incidents were due to personal enmity, as reported by national media.
According to police officials, in Farid Khel, rivals opened fire due to enmity and killed a woman. Near Mughal Manjiwala, the bullet-riddled body of a young man was found in the fields.
In addition, in Sarai Naurang, Lakki Marwat, one person was killed in a firing incident over a land dispute.
It is worth noting that earlier in January, in the jurisdiction of Ghazni Khel police station in Lakki Marwat, an incident of firing on police personnel occurred, resulting in the martyrdom of two police officers. Police, while pursuing the attackers, killed one terrorist.
According to the police, the martyred officers were on duty and were targeted while heading to collect mail. Both officers were assigned to mail duty and were traveling between stations on a motorcycle.
The DPO of Lakki Marwat stated that the bodies of the police officers were transferred to the DHQ hospital, and action has been initiated to arrest the suspects.
The funeral prayers of the two police officers martyred in the militant attack were held with official honors at the Lakki Marwat police lines.
The funeral was attended by RPO Bannu Imran Shahid, DPO Lakki Marwat Jawad Ishaq, Deputy Commissioner Lakki Marwat Zeeshan Abdullah, along with a large number of other police officers, personnel, and staff.
