Another tragic road accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Karachi’s Korangi Industrial Area after being hit by a water tanker.
According to media reports, the incident occurred near Vita Chowrangi, where the water tanker collided with the motorcycle, killing the rider on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Hashim. His body was initially shifted to Jinnah Hospital and later transferred to the Chhipa morgue.
Rescue officials stated that the accident took place early in the morning, and efforts are underway to contact the victim’s family.
It is worth noting that fatal accidents involving heavy vehicles like dumpers, tankers, trailers, and buses have become increasingly common in Karachi.
Key contributing factors include over-speeding, mechanical failures, and the poor condition of the city’s roads.
