Lionsgate has unveiled a thrilling new trailer for Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 heist film Den of Thieves. Starring Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr., the follow-up promises to deliver an action-packed and engaging continuation of the original story.
Although several years have passed since the first film’s release, the sequel picks up shortly after its events. O’Shea Jackson Jr. reprises his role as Donnie Wilson, a key member of Ray Merrimen’s crew in the original.
Now taking center stage, Donnie embarks on an ambitious new heist teased at the conclusion of the first movie. Alongside Butler’s “Big Nick” O’Brien, the duo faces intense challenges, as hinted by the trailer’s adrenaline-fueled action sequences and gripping character moments.
Shifting from Los Angeles to various locations across Europe, Den of Thieves 2 sees Donnie targeting the World Diamond Center. This international setting lends the sequel a fresh European flair and tone compared to its predecessor.
Written and directed by Christian Gudegast, the film is set to hit theaters on January 10, courtesy of Lionsgate.
