LAHORE: A video evidence has come to light of Maryam Nawaz, Vice-President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), that allegedly showing her surreptitiously bringing a mobile phone to the NAB investigation, a private media channel reported.
The video is showing former Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz has secretly brought a cellphone into the investigation room of the National Accountability Bureau.
Maryam Nawaz could be seen in the released video staying in NAB custody in a big room and wearing a white dress and colored scarf. Four to six uniformed women officials entered the room and their officer directed them to search the room.
Upon seeing the officials entering the room, Maryam hid her cellphone inside the pillow and sat on it. The NAB officials found nothing in the room. She could be seen chiding the NAB official during the search.
Maryam Nawaz has kept berating the raiding team who seemed to have a solid information that there was a cellphone present in the room. During the second search, NAB officials recovered the cellphone hidden inside the pillow.
The video shows that Maryam Nawaz had a cellphone in the NAB custody. She had been given appropriate facilities like a bed and she was not being served the meal on the floor.
Not a single male official had entered her room, and it appears Maryam Nawaz took advantage of getting exempted from snap-checking for being a woman, that allowed her to take a cellphone with her.
The investigation revealed that a Punjab police female official was also complicit in helping PLM-N leader carrying the cellphone into NAB investigation room.
