A highly anticipated verdict in the £190 million case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, is expected on Friday tomorrow.

Court officials have informed lawyers that the judgment will be delivered at 11:30 AM.

The case, heard in an accountability court, has been adjourned multiple times. After hearing closing arguments on December 18, 2024, the judge, Justice Nasir Javed Rana, reserved the judgment.

Originally scheduled for December 23rd, the decision was postponed to January 6th, then January 13, and finally to January 17.

The £190 million case, also known as the Al-Qadir Trust case, centers on allegations of corruption against Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

Prosecutors allege that during Imran Khan’s time as Prime Minister, they received billions of rupees and hundreds of acres of land from Bahria Town Limited.

This was allegedly in exchange for legalizing 50 billion rupees transferred to the Pakistani government by the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA). The case involves accusations of illicit enrichment and abuse of power.
