KARACHI: One person was injured in a shooting incident on Mirza Adam Khan Road in Lyari on Friday, police said. According to DIG South Asad Raza, the injured person has been identified as Zubair Baloch.

DIG South said that Zubair Baloch is being said to be the brother of Uzair Baloch of Lyari gang war, adding that further verification in this regard is being done.
Police officials said that two more people injured in the same shooting incident have reached the Civil Hospital Karachi. The statements of the injured are being recorded, officials added.
Police have cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence from the scene. Further investigation is underway.
It is pertinent to mention that Uzair Baloch, who is considered a key figure in the Lyari gang war and faces serious criminal charges, has so far remained successful in getting acquittals from local courts in a number of cases pending against him for several years.
