A woman living in the Indian city of Hyderabad lost her eyesight due to excessive use of her smartphone.
According to media reports, neurologist Dr. Sudhir said that 30-year-old Manju had been using mobile phones in the dark for about one and a half years, due to which her vision was gradually decreasing.
According to the doctor, sometimes it happened that she could not see anything for several seconds, this happened mostly at night when the woman opened her eyes while sleeping.
Thirty-year-old Manju used to work in a beauty parlor but after quitting her job as a beautician to take care of her disabled son, she became addicted to using her mobile phone at night.

After examining the woman, the doctor said she was suffering from smartphone vision syndrome, which is caused by prolonged use of devices such as computers, smartphones, or tablets.
Dr. Sudhir advised the woman to give up the use of smartphone along with the treatment, due to which Manju’s eyesight improved within a month.
The doctor also gave a message to the daily smartphone users to avoid looking at the screen of digital devices for a long time as it can lead to vision loss.
