Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that empowering the youth with professional skills is crucial for boosting employment prospects, and the Government is committed to a strategy aimed at tackling unemployment by fostering the private sector.
According to a report by PTV on Wednesday, while presiding over a meeting on the youth program, the Prime Minister highlighted that the “Uraan Pakistan” Project would unlock new career avenues across the nation.
During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif instructed the creation of a plan that aligns with the workforce needs of friendly nations, aiming to offer employment opportunities to youth abroad. Additionally, he called for stringent actions against fraudulent and unlicensed companies that promise jobs overseas.
Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, along with the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme, should take the lead in advancing technical and vocational training.
The nation’s future hinges on the growth of the IT sector. The Prime Minister was briefed on the creation of a platform called “Prime Minister Digital Youth Hub,” designed to offer job information and various services to young people. He directed that the digital youth hub be launched in both English and Urdu, along with other local languages, to ensure it reaches a wider audience.
