Pakistan Customs staff at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport have seized a large quantity of cigarettes from the luggage of two passengers who were going to Jeddah to perform Umrah.
According to Customs officials, a large quantity of cigarettes was recovered during the scanning of the luggage for flight PF-714.
As many as 260 sleeves (2,600 packets of cigarettes) were recovered from the passengers’ luggage.

Legal action has been initiated against the passengers under the Customs Act 1969.
Pakistan Customs will continue its operations against smuggling.
