A woman implicated in the notorious “Umairi leaks” case has been granted bail, it emerged on Thursday.
According to details, the accused, Tehmina Iftikhar, also known as “Gogo,” secured bail on March 26, 2026, through her lawyers Noor Muhammad and Muhammad Ali.
Speaking after her release, Tehmina maintained her innocence, saying that she is a housewife and had no knowledge of how the explicit video was recorded.
She alleged that the individual known as “Umairi” was responsible for the incident and called for strict punishment against him.
Her legal counsel, Noor Muhammad, said the woman’s statement is based on facts, adding that she has no prior record of involvement in any scandal.
He argued that she is not a criminal but a victim, which formed the basis for the court granting bail. He also said that her husband, Iftikhar, supported her claim, describing her as a homemaker with no connection to wrongdoing.
According to the defense, the location where the incident allegedly took place was not the woman’s residence, and she was allegedly lured there under false pretenses. Her lawyer claimed that a false case had been registered against her, insisting that full responsibility lies with Umairi.
Earlier in January, the woman was arrested over her alleged involvement in the viral video, which showed her with a younger man. The clips, widely shared across social media platforms, also captured her making controversial remarks about her family, further fueling public backlash.
