Two people lost their lives, and another was injured when a car struck their motorcycle from behind, causing them to fall onto the road, where they were then run over by a speeding oil tanker on Shaheed-e-Millat Road in Karachi on Friday.
After crushing the victims, the oil tanker collided with an electric pole, sparking a massive fire. Thick smoke from the blaze quickly spread across the area, disrupting traffic flow and making the situation more dangerous for those nearby.
Rescue teams arrived shortly after the incident and transported the deceased and injured to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center Hospital. The victims were later identified as Nauman and Israr.
In the aftermath of the crash, an angry crowd gathered at the scene and set the oil tanker on fire, causing further chaos. The thick smoke from the fire continued to affect traffic in the area for several hours, adding to the severity of the situation.
