Two brothers killed, three injured as car hits motorcycle in Karachi

Road accident injures four in Lahore
KARACHI: At least two teenage boys were killed and three other children injured in a road accident after a speeding car hit a motorcycle near ICI Bridge in the metropolis on Friday.
According to rescue sources, a fast-moving car hit a motorcycle with five persons near ICI Bridge. As a result, two boys sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot, while three other injured in the mishap.
The deceased boys were identified as a 14-year-old Ajmal and a 13-year-old Owais. The injured persons were identified as four-year-old Afshan, six-year-old Muneeba and seven-year-old Abdul Hadi who were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medical treatment.
Rescue sources said the elder brother was driving the motorcycle with his siblings during the public holiday of Independence Day. The children were residents of Baldia Town No-7.
Receiving information about the accident police reached the spot and arrested the car driver.
police further said that the road accident was occurred due to overspeeding as the bike rider lost control due to overloading on the motorcycle. Sources said that the parents of the deceased boys have rejected pursuing legal action against the car driver.
