Two Afghan nationals have been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a girl in the United Kingdom.
According to British media reports, an Afghan suspect named Jan Jahanzeb has been sentenced to 10 years and 8 months in prison, while Israr Naya Zal has been sentenced to 9 years and 10 months.
The incident took place in May this year. The prosecution told the court that 17-year-old John Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal forcibly took the 15-year-old girl with them from a park in Leamington while she was intoxicated.
During the hearing, a video of the accused forcibly taking the victim from the park was also played in the court.
According to reports, after presenting evidence in court, the judge sentenced both accused to 9 and 10 years in prison. Both will be deported after serving their sentences.
Reports said that the 17-year-old suspects, Afghan nationals, arrived in the UK last year and both had applied for asylum.
