Ertugrul star Esra Bilgic breaks the internet with new photos
KARACHI: Diriliş: Ertuğrul actor Esra Bilgic, who plays the role of Halima Sultan in the mega-hit Turkish serial, has shared an important message in Urdu for her followers in Pakistan.
On a social website, Instagram Bilgic shared her recent message in Urdu script, which read, “My only representative and the official manager are Duygu Durukan Cici. You can directly contact her for all collaboration ideas, partnerships and overall for any project.”

The actress went on to share, “I’m not attached to any management company outside of Turkey. Thank you,” before signing off with a simple, “Regards, Esra Bilgiç.” The message was also shared in English on her Twitter, presumably to reach as many people as possible.

A large number of people also turned to YouTube to watch the Urdu version during the COVID-19 lockdown. The historical fiction series is being aired on PTV on the special directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Ertugrul is gaining popularity in Pakistan as it supposedly highlights Islamic history and culture which has been neglected by the local media and vehemently shunned in the West. Turkish dramas reflect its culture and are the country’s most well known cultural exports.
Turkey has emerged as the world’s fastest-growing television series exporter and has currently overtaken both Mexico and Brazil as the world’s second-highest television series exporter after the United States.
Turkish television dramas are among the world’s lengthiest ranging between 120 and 150 minutes per episode. The television industry has played a pivotal role in increasing Turkey’s popularity in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa.
