American conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has made serious claims regarding the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
According to a report broadcast on a private channel citing an international news agency, Carlson alleged during his programme that Saudi Arabia and Qatar had detained agents of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad.
He claimed the individuals were accused of planning bomb attacks in those countries in an attempt to create further instability and widen the current regional tensions.
Carlson further alleged that Israel was seeking not only to damage Iran but also to target Gulf states including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait in pursuit of its objectives, asserting that it had achieved some degree of success in this regard.
There has been no official confirmation of these claims from Saudi Arabia, Qatar or Israel. No major international news organisation has so far published a verified report supporting the allegations.
