KARACHI: A 3.2 magnitude earthquake tremors felt in parts of Karachi on Monday.
The seismic event was experienced in Sadar, Clifton, Korangi, and the Old City area of Karachi.
According to the seismic monitoring center, the epicenter of the quake was situated 15 kilometers northeast of Karachi, at a depth of 22 kilometers. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage from any part of the capital or its adjacent regions.
Last month, tremors shook the Malir district of Karachi, with the earthquake registering at 2.3 on the Richter scale.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) confirmed the tremors were felt in Malir, Kathore, and Gadap Town, with the epicenter pinpointed to the northeastern part of Malir. The NSMC recorded the earthquake’s depth at 84 kilometers, with tremors occurring at 5:52 pm.
