Timothée Chalamet will be making his third appearance as a host on “Saturday Night Live”, but this time, he’ll also be taking the stage as a musical guest—how exciting is that?
NBC revealed on Friday that comedian Dave Chappelle will host the show on January 18, with GloRilla performing as the musical guest. Chalamet, meanwhile, will host and perform on January 25.
As SNL celebrates its 50th season, the show is gearing up for a special anniversary weekend, including a live broadcast of “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” on February 16.
This marks Chappelle’s fourth time hosting the iconic sketch show. The three performers are also making waves in the midst of awards season.
Chappelle and GloRilla are both nominated for Grammy Awards, with the ceremony taking place on February 2, while Chalamet, who has received multiple acting nominations for “A Complete Unknown”, is a strong contender for the Oscars. Nominations for the Oscars will be announced on January 19.
In A Complete Unknown, Chalamet immersed himself in the role of Bob Dylan, learning to play guitar and harmonica. It’s unclear what he’ll perform during his SNL appearance, but given that he also showcased his singing talents in Wonka, fans may be hoping for a reprise of the song “Statistics.”
