QUETTA: In an intensification of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign in Balochistan, security forces eliminated three more foreign terrorists during the latest phase of ‘Operation Shaban’.
The operation, being aggressively executed as a joint venture by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and the police, continues to target sanctuaries of the outlawed *Fitna al-Khawarij* across the province.
Security sources confirmed that the law enforcement apparatus has deployed both air and ground assets to sustain a continuous offensive against militant elements. The multi-pronged strategy relies heavily on localized intelligence-based operations to flush out heavily armed networks operating in the region’s rugged and mountainous terrains.
According to official data, the latest casualties have pushed the total number of foreign terrorists neutralized since the inception of the operation on July 5 to 105. The massive anti-insurgency offensive was originally greenlit in response to a wave of coordinated militant assaults that shook the province earlier this month, including a deadly ambush on a police checkpoint near Ziarat.
Senior security officials stated that troops remain firmly determined to achieve a complete elimination of terrorist networks, their facilitators, and operational infrastructure. Intensive clearance and search protocols are actively being maintained in the designated areas to ensure long-term stability and security across the province.
