A humanitarian incident has come to light in Karachi’s Lines Area, Thana Brigade, where three men allegedly raped a young girl inside a shop.
According to the sources, the condition of the innocent girl victim of brutality is so critical that she has been given 12 to 13 stitches due to severe injuries. The girl is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital and is in a life and death struggle.
Sources say that 3 persons were involved in the incident, but the police showed their usual slowness in taking action and arrested only one accused, while the other two accused are still at large.
On the other hand, the affected family is being pressured by influential people. Poor parents are being threatened to settle the case with Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh, otherwise they are given dire consequences and open threats of “dealing differently”.
The parents of the innocent girl say that the local police is not cooperating with them, but they are trying to protect the accused.
The victim’s family and civil society have appealed to the Interior Minister and Additional IG Karachi to take immediate notice of this heartbreaking incident.
