Another uniqueness about the centre is its design. Mrs Ali has designed her fast-food shop with traditional Pakistani truck art. Such art has become one of Pakistan’s best-known cultural exports in recent years.
Talking about the unique Matka Pizza, Mrs Ali said the dish offers a blend or mixture of every ingredient you can find on a pizza. “Since the inside of a Matka is not flat, there is no possible way to line it with dough,” she added.
“However, bread is broken down into different pieces and mixed with all the other ingredients, including cheese, hot sauce, herbs, olives, and the veggies of your choice. Then to cook it, all you need to do is bake it in your microwave until the cheese is all meltdown,” she told M.M News.
Mrs Ali further said she graduated from Malaysia in 2013 with a degree in food baking and began working on that experience, adding that she had imported all the machinery needed to make pizza.
“It takes me about 25 minutes to make a pizza,” she said, adding, “I believe that unless we bring something different to the market, people will not pay attention to it.” Speaking about the truck art, she said, “When we were introducing something new, we thought why not bring our culture to the fore, so we created a shop with truck art.”
“Before I started working, I got the most support from my mother and husband, who encouraged me at every opportunity,” she added.
