Pakistani most celebrated actor Humayun Saeed’s career trajectory has been significantly shaped by a series of diverse professional endeavors and dramatic personal experiences that fostered a blend of management skills, creative expression, and a willingness to take risks.
Humayun Saeed recently appeared on the talk show ‘Hasna Mana Hai with Tabish Hashmi,’ discussing his extensive career in film and television, where he is recognized for his massive box office success and popular dramas.
Saeed shares personal life story rarely known by his fans was far removed from the entertainment industry.
His early struggles and eventual transition from a teacher and successful garment factory general manager to an actor.
He shared on the show that he started tutoring when he was around 16 or 17 years old, primarily teaching mathematics and other subjects to primary school children.
He later transitioned into the business world, working in a garment factory that manufactured clothes and night wears. Although he initially went for training, he achieved the position of General Manager within three years, reaching this role by the age of 20 or 21.

This was considered a major achievement for him at the time. He handled three or four production plants simultaneously and was extremely dedicated, often staying at the factory for all the time.
Everyone wonders, how that successful manager turned into Pakistan’s super star?
He revealed, the turning point came when his boss noticed his creative flair.
His boss, who was a model himself, was impressed by his performance and noticed that Humayun Saeed “looked like a hero”. The boss encouraged him to go to an audition, despite Humayun Saeed’s reluctance, as he was happy with his current job.
Humayun Saeed attended the audition and secured a role. However, during the first or second day of shooting, he walked away from the project because the director asked him to take a different role than the one he was initially hired for. He returned to the factory.
The actor said, there was a bug remained with him related to drama, and when the factory was relocating to Lahore, he decided to seriously pursue the entertainment industry.

So, he decided to produce his own drama, borrowing money from friends.
The same director who had clashed with him earlier noticed his persistent interest and quality. The director called him to participate in the PTV play ‘Yeh Jahan’. Ironically, the director told him his self-produced drama was “very bad,” but that Humayun Saeed himself was talented and should act in the play.
Humayun Saeed believes that stardom is achieved through a combination of elements.
He acknowledged that he feels “very lucky,” emphasizing that luck (kismat) plays a significant role. However, he strongly asserts that hard work is a necessary prerequisite.
He initially considered acting only once. His decision to continue was solidified by realizing that people liked him, complimented him, and that families appreciated his work, which encouraged him to pursue the profession further.
Saeed is primarily known for his work on Pakistani television and cinema and is the recipient of several accolades, including Lux Style Awards and ARY Film Award.
