Pakistan’s textile and clothing exports posted a 9.38% increase during the first nine months (July–March) of the current fiscal year, reaching $13.6 billion, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Thursday.
The PBS report further indicated that the country’s total exports for the July–March period of FY2024–25 stood at $24.72 billion (provisional), compared to $22.93 billion during the same period last year—reflecting a year-on-year growth of 7.82%.
In March 2025, exports amounted to $2.65 billion (provisional), up 6.27% from $2.49 billion recorded in February 2025 and 3.08% higher compared to $2.57 billion in March 2024.
The textile group, in particular, continued to show resilience, with March 2025 exports rising 9.97% year-on-year to $14.30 billion, compared to $14.13 billion in February 2025—an increase of 1.18% on a month-on-month basis.

Conversely, rice exports experienced a downturn. During the July–March period, Pakistani rice exports declined by 5.91%, totaling $2.76 billion, down from $2.93 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
