Terrorist commander among four killed in Waziristan operation

RAWALPINDI: At least four terrorists were killed, including terrorist commander Ihsan Ullah alias Ihsan Sanray, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) near the inter-district boundary of North and South Waziristan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) on credible information about the presence of terrorists in Ghariom, Shaktu, near the inter-district boundary of North and South Waziristan.

“Ihsan Sanray masterminded numerous terrorist activities. More recently he was involved in the planning and execution of terrorist attacks in Shaktu area, which led to the martyrdom of several soldiers and officers, including, Lt Nasir (Shaheed) and Capt Sabih (Shaheed),” the ISPR added.

Earlier in July, Four soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan.

“Sanitisation force conducted [an] operation against terrorists’ hideout in Vezhda Sar this morning. As soon as the troops cordoned off the area, terrorists opened fire. All dug out terrorists were shot down by security forces,” the ISPR informed.

In April, at least seven terrorists killed during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in tribal areas of North Waziristan and Mohmand.

The ISPR spokesperson said that security forces conducted separate IBOs in North Waziristan and Mohmand where at least seven terrorists were killed.

During the Mohmand IBO, three terrorists were killed and Indian medicines, literature and other material were also recovered from their possession.
