Mustafizur Rahman’s exceptionally economical spell, supported by disciplined bowling from Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib, enabled Bangladesh to dismiss Pakistan for just 110 in the first T20I at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.
Mustafizur delivered a career-best T20I performance, conceding only 6 runs in 4 overs and claiming 2 wickets. Taskin took 3 wickets for 22 runs, including two in the final over, while Sakib added one for 20 in a controlled spell.
Pakistan made a brisk start, reaching 32 in the first three overs, but faltered as wickets fell consistently. Fakhar Zaman top-scored with 44, followed by Abbas Afridi with 22.
Bangladesh now require 111 runs to secure a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
