The World Blind Cricket Council announced the schedule for the upcoming T20 World Cup on Friday.
The tournament will begin on November 23 in Lahore and will feature foreign teams from India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, and Nepal. The foreign teams are expected to arrive by November 21, ahead of the opening ceremony which will take place the day after.
The opening match will pit Pakistan and South Africa against each other. The men in green will face rivals India on November 25.
A total of 24 matches will take place over the course of the tournament. The first 15 will be held in Lahore, while the remaining nine, including the semi-finals and finals, will be held in Multan.
Pakistan won the blind cricket world cup twice in 2002 and 2006. However, they have yet to win the T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, which has been held three times including in 2012, 2017, and 2022. India won all three, with Pakistan losing in the finals of the first two iterations of the tournament.
While Pakistan hosted the Blind Cricket World Cup once in 2006, this will be the first time the T20 World Cup will be held in the country.
