NANKANA SAHIB: A local court has handed over two main accused arrested for allegedly gang-raping a girl to police on a five-day physical remand.
The statements of the victim and the accused have been recorded in a closed room in the court. The court also ordered the police to conduct DNA tests of the victim and the accused.
It may be recalled that the police had arrested two main accused of allegedly raping a girl on Jaranwala Road in Nankana Sahib yesterday.
According to police, raids are underway to arrest other accused. The suspects will be arrested soon and sent to the DNA Sample Laboratory.
Two days ago, six men raped a girl on Jaranwala Road within the limits of Mangtanwala police station under the pretext of giving her a lift.
The girl was waiting for the second ride when the bus broke down. The occupants of the car offered her life and later raped her by giving her drugs in food.
