The federal government has announced summer vacations for all educational institutions in the federal capital from June 5.
As per official notification, the vacations will begin on June 5 and continue until August 1, 2025. Additionally, new school timings have been introduced by the authorities. Schools will operate from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM from May 26 to June 1, according to the notification. The decision aims to safeguard students and staff amid the prevailing heatwave.
Meanwhile, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced on Tuesday that summer vacations for all schools in the province will commence on May 28 in response to rising temperatures.
He emphasized that the measure was taken to ensure the well-being of students and staff as extreme heat intensifies across Punjab. Government departments have already issued safety advisories, and the early start of vacations is part of these precautionary efforts.
Earlier, on Thursday, the Sindh Education Department declared summer vacations for all educational institutions across the province, starting from June 1. With temperatures soaring, the move aims to provide relief to students and staff. The vacations will run from June 1 to July 31, with classes set to resume in August 2025.
