Gunmen and suicide bombers attacked a police station in Iran’s troubled southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, killing two police officers and four attackers.
According to the report of the Iranian state television, the incident took place in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
State television said ‘four terrorists’ and two policemen were killed in the raid. It should be noted that Sistan-Baluchistan, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan and is one of the poorest provinces in Iran, is where drug trafficking takes place.
