Pakistan’s former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, confirming his release from Israeli custody and arrival in Jordan, vowed in his first statement that his struggle for the freedom of Palestine will continue until the end of Israel.
According to media reports, the former senator also highlighted the atrocities committed by Israeli forces against the prisoners of the Global Sumud Flotilla. He stated that they were tortured in jail and that dogs were unleashed on them. He added that the detainees observed a three-day hunger strike during their imprisonment.
“Israeli forces handcuffed us, kept us in notorious jails, unleashed dogs on us, and tortured us,” he said.
He confirmed that he has arrived in Jordan after being released from Israeli custody and stated that he will share all the details after reaching Pakistan.
Mushtaq Ahmed was the only Pakistani who participated in the Global Sumud Flotilla. Soon after his arrest by Israeli forces goverment of Pakistan had begun diplomatic efforts for his release and safe return.
