Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari shared a light-hearted moment with fellow PPP leader Shazia Marri during a media interaction while responding to a question regarding the possible handover of the Benazir Income Support Programme to provincial governments.

During the discussion, Bilawal said he did not wish to mention the name of the federal minister who had floated the proposal. However, Shazia Marri inadvertently mentioned the minister by name while speaking.

She said Rana Sanaullah Kheal Das Kohistani floated the idea. Bilawal immediately responded with “THANK U, THANK U” remark, appearing to gently signal that the name was not intended to be disclosed publicly.

The exchange drew laughter from those present at the event.

Realising the slip, Shazia Marri quickly apologised in front of the audience, saying, “Sorry sir.”

The brief interaction soon gained traction on social media, where clips of the exchange were widely shared by users commenting on the candid and informal moment between the two senior PPP leaders.
