A tourism advertisement video from Abu Dhabi featuring Bollywood couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal filmed at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has become the center of attention on social media.
According to details, Sonakshi Sinha shared the video on her Instagram account, where she and Zaheer can be seen strolling peacefully through the mosque’s beautiful courtyard and grand corridors.
In the caption, Sonakshi wrote, “Found a moment of peace here in Abu Dhabi!” In the video, Sonakshi Sinha is seen wearing an elegant green and white kurta-pajama, with a light green dupatta respectfully covering her head.
Zaheer Iqbal is dressed in a black shirt and green trousers, complementing the mosque’s serene and graceful ambiance.

Initially, fans loved the couple’s look and the spiritually soothing visuals of the video. One user commented, “Your attire perfectly matches the beauty of the place.”
However, the comments section soon took a different turn as people began comparing Sonakshi’s video with Deepika Padukone’s recent Abu Dhabi tourism ad, in which Deepika wore a hijab and faced criticism.
One user highlighted the double standards, writing, “It’s normal for Sonakshi but not for Deepika? Both covered their heads out of respect for the mosque, so what’s the issue? Why object to respecting others’ places of worship?” Another user commented, “Sonakshi Sinha is about to embrace Islam.”
Many others supported the same view, saying that covering one’s head in a place of worship is a sign of respect and spirituality, regardless of one’s religion.
This video surfaced at a time when Sonakshi and Zaheer are enjoying a peaceful life after their marriage. The couple tied the knot in a simple ceremony in Mumbai on June 23, 2024, followed by a star-studded reception.
