KARACHI: A domestic dispute turned fatal as a 60-year-old man, Anwar, was shot and killed by his son near Karachi’s Mahmoodabad railway track in a tragic incident that has left the community in shock.
The police say that six bullet casings were found at the scene and the victim’s body was transported to Jinnah Hospital for further investigation. The accused managed to escape from the scene, but the police have launched a manhunt and conducted raids at various places to apprehend him.
According to the preliminary investigation, the deceased had been quarreling with his sons for the past one and a half years. The dispute escalated, resulting in this deadly incident.
Police further said that the victim and the accused were living in separate houses in the same locality, and several requests were made to the police station regarding their dispute. The deceased had divorced his wife, and since then, he had been quarreling with his sons.
The police authorities have registered a case and are carrying out further investigation.
