Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a new gas supply schedule for domestic consumers, effective January 2025.
Under the revised schedule, consumers will receive uninterrupted gas supply from 6 am to 10 pm daily. Previously, gas was provided in three separate time slots: 6 am to 9 am, 11 am to 2 pm, and 6 pm to 10 pm.
SNGPL said that the decision to ensure continuous supply was made due to sufficient gas availability.
Moreover, SNGPL has intensified its crackdown on illegal gas connections, disconnecting 136 unauthorized connections across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad. The operation has led to fines exceeding Rs 9 million.
In South Punjab, areas including Multan, Sahiwal, and Bahawalpur saw 56 illegal connections severed, with fines totaling Rs 90,000. Meanwhile, in central Punjab’s Lahore and Faisalabad regions, 55 illegal connections were removed, resulting in penalties of Rs 3.75 million.
