Six members of a family lost their lives, and three others were injured in a tragic accident near Punjab’s Tandlianwala on Saturday.
A car traveling from Lahore via the motorway collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with sugarcane amidst foggy conditions.
The deceased were identified as Rabia Zaheer, 36, and five minors. The injured, Shahbaz, 40, Saba Shahbaz, 35, and Amir Hadi, 13, were rushed to the THQ Hospital in Samundri by Rescue 1122 teams. The impact of the collision, attributed to the car’s high speed, left the vehicle completely destroyed.
Rescue and police teams promptly arrived at the scene. The tractor driver fled following the accident, leaving the police to seize the tractor-trolley and initiate further investigations.
