The Government of Sindh has decided to release salaries, allowances and pensions for Muslim employees ahead of schedule to facilitate preparations for Eid ul Fitr.
The early payment aims to provide financial ease to government workers and pensioners as the religious festival approaches later this month.
According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Finance Department, all Muslim government employees and pensioners will receive their March payments on March 16, 2026.
The decision also applies to staff working under work-charged and contingent paid establishments.
Under the normal schedule, these payments are typically released on April 1, but the provincial government opted to advance the date so employees and retirees can access funds before the holiday period.
Authorities said the step was taken because Eid ul Fitr is anticipated around March 20 or 21, depending on the sighting of the Shawwal moon.
