KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that the COVID-19 claimed 74 lives in the province during the last 24 hours, making it the highest death toll when the first fatality was reported in the province.
In his daily COVID-19 update, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the total number of deaths in the province have jumped to 1343. He said 660 patients are in critical condition, while 92 are on ventilators.
Speaking about the cases, Murad Ali Shah said in the past 24 hours, the province conducted 8464 tests out of which 1539 came positive. He said so far 443757 people have been tested for COVID-19.
“Sindh’s COVID-19 tally has reached 81955,” he said. The CM further said 1093 also recovered from the virus in the past 25 hours and have been allowed to go to their homes. In Sindh 45616 patients have recovered from the novel virus.
