KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), with the Government of Sindh’s approval, has extended the deadline for filing Agricultural Income Tax returns from September 30 to October 31.
To facilitate taxpayers, the SRB has introduced an online return filing system, enabling farmers and landowners to submit their returns digitally.
However, the board cautioned that those who fail to meet the new deadline will face penalties and potential legal action.
Earlier this year, the Sindh Cabinet approved the Agricultural Income Tax Bill 2025, which came into effect in January.
The law transferred the recovery of agricultural income tax from the Board of Revenue (BoR) to the Sindh Revenue Board to ensure greater efficiency and compliance.
Under the new legislation, livestock is exempted from taxation, while farmers earning up to Rs150 million annually remain exempt from the agricultural income tax.
