The Sindh government has declared December 25 (Wednesday) a public holiday, media reported on Friday.
According to the notification issued by the provincial chief secretary, the holiday will be observed on account of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
The notification read: “The Government of Sindh hereby declares 25 December 2024 (Wednesday) as a public Holiday on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day / Christmas, for all Offices / Autonomous Bodies / Semi-Autonomous Bodies, Corporations, and Local Councils under Administrative Control of the Government of Sindh except those engaged in essential services.”
Additionally, the provincial government also announced December 26 as a holiday for Christians marking Xmas.
It should be noted that an account of Quaid-e-Azam Day, a public holiday is observed on 25 December every year across Pakistan.
