Shoaib Malik joins 9,000 runs club in T20 cricket

KARACHI: Cricketer and all-rounder Shoaib Malik have become the first Pakistani player to score record 9,000 runs in the T20 format.
Shoaib Malik achieved the feat during the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in which he is leading the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Malik has scored 32 runs off 19 balls as Warriors defeated Tridents by 30 runs and entered the finals. This is the consecutive 11th victory of Warriors in the tournament.

With that, the former Pakistan cricketer has become first Pakistani and fourth in the world to score 9,000 runs in the T20 format.
Malik has represented Pakistan in 35 Tests, 287 ODIs and 111 T20Is. In T20s he has scored more than 2000 runs and with an average of 30.58.
