Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar reacted to a video of former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag, offering him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records, as reported by national media.
According to a report, a video of former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag had gone viral on social media, in which he repeatedly mentions “300.” This led to a response from former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, which has also gone viral.
In fact, the video shared by Virender Sehwag on his social media account is a commercial, where he recalls his 300-run innings against Pakistan in Multan in 2004.
Responding to Sehwag on his social media account, Pakistani speed star Shoaib Akhtar said, “I saw Veeru Paaji’s video on social media, and I am fed up with hearing the same thing over and over again.”
Shoaib Akhtar added that Virender Sehwag has been repeating the same thing for 20 years: “300, 300, 300.” He said, “Brother, I was also there when you scored the triple century, and you played really well. But, brother, it’s Ramadan, and the mind doesn’t function the same way while fasting. Please, stop it!”
Rawalpindi Express then offered Virender Sehwag an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records, saying, “If you want an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for mentioning ‘300’ the most times in the world, I can arrange that for you.”
It is worth mentioning that Shoaib Akhtar holds the record for the fastest delivery in cricket history. He bowled the fastest delivery at 161.3 km/h against England in the 2003 ODI World Cup, a record that still stands today.
He further said, “Look, brother, you know where I come from, and I have a real record. You know which one, right…?” It is important to note that during India’s 2004 tour of Pakistan, Virender Sehwag played a 309-run innings in the Multan Test against Pakistan.
