ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has lauded the passion of the Corona Relief Tiger Force volunteers in providing invaluable services.
During a meeting with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar today, Shibli Faraz said volunteers of Tiger Force were providing invaluable services in an epidemic situation without any remuneration.
The Tiger Force had once again proved in practical terms that the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan was exemplary, he added. During the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on celebrating August 9 as Tiger Day.
Usman Dar said the Tiger Force volunteers had been playing an exemplary role during the pandemic with a spirit of service to the people. He further said on the order of Prime Minister Imran Khan, tributes would be paid to the volunteers of Tiger Force on August 9.
The services the volunteers would be lauded by planting the record number trees in a day in the history of Pakistan on August 9, Usman Dar added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced to observe Tiger Force Day on 9th August across the country. The prime minister said that he himself will become a part of the Tiger Force and the tree planting campaigns. “Ten billion trees will be planted by 2023 in Pakistan,” the premier added.
He said that elected representatives, all chief ministers, and ministers will also participate in the plantation campaign. According to PM Khan, “Environmental pollution is badly affecting our country”.
