KARACHI: Former Pakistan all-rounder, Shahid Afridi has announced to run a cricket academy in the Gulberg area of the metropolis.
As per details Afridi, on his visit to the TMC cricket ground in Gulberg, announced his decision to the excitement of the kids and the fans.
He said, “I am very happy today. I learned cricket from the ground on which I stand. It is on this ground that I started playing cricket and it prepared me to become a better cricketer,” he added.
Boom Boom Afridi said he was planning to start a cricket academy and would run it himself. Afridi said he would soon return to the ground to play night matches with the teams.

Earlier, Afridi had also expressed his desire to coach Under 16 and Under 14 players instead of working with the top-level players.
He said that coaching younger kids is much better because they have the desire and ability to learn, and when they hear the experiences, it stays with them for longer periods of time.
