A troubling case of alleged sexual assault has emerged from the Children’s Hospital in Faisalabad, involving a female security guard and two accused individuals: a doctor and a security supervisor, as reported by national media.
According to a report by ARY News on Sunday, the doctor allegedly assaulted her repeatedly under false pretenses and recorded a video of the incident, while the security supervisor blackmailed her with threats of job termination.
The report states that after her attempts to file a case were denied, the woman reportedly injured herself with a sharp object in an attempt to take her own life. Police have since registered a case at the Women’s Police Station based on her statement. Five suspects, including the doctor, have been named in the case, with investigations and raids ongoing to apprehend the accused.
In a separate incident in Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki, social media was set abuzz when reports surfaced of a 50-year-old female doctor allegedly attacking a young man who refused her marriage proposal.
The young man was gravely injured, with reports suggesting that the doctor cut his tongue and harmed his eyes during the altercation. A video of the victim went viral online, prompting widespread outrage and drawing the attention of SSP Ghotki, Dr. Samiullah Soomro.
