Citizens are facing difficulties reaching their workplaces and offices due to a severe traffic jam on Korangi Road, DHA Karachi, and the surrounding areas. The traffic congestion is reported to be caused by a road mishap; however, details of the accident are still pending.
Some sources have informed us that a protest in Punjab Colony is causing the traffic jams; however, the motive of the demonstration is not yet clear.
Long queues of heavy and light traffic are present at the KPT Flyover, KPT Roundabout, Jam Sadiq Bridges, Korangi Road, the link roads of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Korangi Expressway, and other nearby roads and streets.
Car and bike riders have turned back to the Korangi Industrial Area or Shahra-e-Faisal, while bus passengers, including working women, have disembarked and are heading to their workplaces on foot. Students have also been unable to reach their schools, and there are ambulances stuck in the traffic jam as well.
Korangi Road and the KPT Flyover are used for heavy traffic coming from Karachi Port and remain very busy all the time.
