ISLAMABAD: The seventh death anniversary of Aitzaz Hasan, who laid his life to stop the endeavour of a suicide bomber to enter his school on 6 January 2014 in Hangu, was observed Wednesday.
On January 6, 2014, thwarting the terrorist attack in a school Aitzaz Hasan became a national hero after he saved hundreds of innocent lives. He had grabbed the suicide bomber at the main gate of the school to stop them from entering the school.
The government of Pakistan awarded him Sitara-e-Shujaat for his courageousness. He not only became a national hero after he saved hundreds of lives but tiled his legacy forever.
On this occasion, Mujahid Ali Bangash the father of the martyred student said that federal and provincial governments had made several promises of compensation to the affected family and facilities to the area but it had not fulfilled despite the passage of seven years.
He said that Aitzaz Hasan was a national hero but the family of Shaheed was being kept deprived of the relief being given to a national hero in the country.
Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari called it an act of unparalleled courage.

Shaheed Aitzaz Hasan Bangash stopped a suicide bomber from entering his school. He was 15 when he gave his life to save 2,000 students. Pakistan has not protected his family from threats and we have failed to honour him and his sacrifice. His courage and love makes me weep. pic.twitter.com/rXXArjTLnO
