ISLAMABAD: Around 592 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while seven more citizens have died due to the virus.
According to the statistics released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 1,547,795 people have been infected with coronavirus, while 30,452 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.

On the last day, 21264 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of coronavirus, while the ratio of positive cases was 2.78 percent. The total number of tests has reached 29357810 while 174 patients of coronavirus are in intensive care.

Till last day, 957 patients have defeated coronavirus across the country, by which the number of recovered people has reached 156,592, while the number of active cases has increased to 9,707. Punjab and Sindh were the most affected.
In Sindh, 58,893 people were affected by coronavirus while 8,145 died. In Punjab, 510398 people were affected while 13585 lost their lives. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the third largest province affected by the virus.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 220508 people were affected by coronavirus while 6326 died. In Islamabad, 136850 people were affected by Corona while 127 died. 43,465 corona cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Around 793 people died due to the virus in Azad Kashmir. In Balochistan, 35,654 people have been affected by coronavirus while 378 have lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,776 people have been affected by a coronavirus, while 191 have died.
